OK, the newest Amundson fly rod is in prototype production. The first model, for testing in the market place is the new “Women’s Only”, Amundson “Aldis” fly rod/reel combo. First run will be a 4pc 9′ 5wt moderate/fast action with lightweight features like “smaller than normal” cork grip and single-foot wire loop guides replacing the standard snake guides. NO, it’s NOT PINK !
With loads of input from both experienced and rookie lady flyfishers, who thought “pink has been done to death”. The women’s consensus was for a metallic aqua with pale mauve guide wraps, and a matching fly reel. The name “ALDIS” is the Viking “goddess and guardian spirit of good fortune”. Seems it might just “fit”, eh ??
Delivery is in August. Samples will be issued to selective women across Canada for evaluation.

I made a few Very amateurish videos with my Amundson rod 905 and put them all on youtube. Please do not mind the noise ..I am just in the practice mode. But the Rod is performing just like it should … I have not used my SAGE rods since I got my wind warrior.
